So, when I was looking for a quick and easy breakfast several people recommended various smoothies to me.<\/p>\n<p>This recipe is one I appropriated from Martha Stewart (the original can be found <a title=\"Martha Stewart's Banana-Oat Smoothie\" href=\"http:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/341010\/banana-oat-smoothie\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>) and it is incredible. It&#8217;s super bananary (is that a word?) and gives a great protein boost to start your day well.<\/p>\n<p>My version replaces the regular milk with vanilla almond milk and modifies the quantity of milk and yogurt to give a texture I personally prefer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"recipe\"><span itemprop=\"name\"><strong>BANANA OAT SMOOTHIE<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nBy <span itemprop=\"author\">Charlie Butler<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><i>yield: <span itemprop=\"yield\">1 smoothie<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">What you&#8217;ll need:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/4 cup oats<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 zero fat yogurt<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 vanilla almond milk (or soy, or regular milk depending on your tastes)<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons maple syrup<\/li>\n<li>1 banana<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How it&#8217;s done:<\/span><\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"instructions\">1. This is a simple one: put all of the ingredients into a blender &#8211; breaking the banana up into chunks &#8211; and combine.
